Every leaf speaks bliss to me, fluttering from the autumn tree.

Truth be told, I really don’t have to do much to “put out” my autumn decor. My house is pretty much autumn all year long. I love green, and orange, and ochre, and black. Yes, I do!

The close-up of this rug is pretty much the amalgam of the entire house. Love it so!
Of course, since two days ago it was 100 degrees outside, I realize that this is me WILLING the weather to change. Tomorrow, the high will be 78. Next weekend, we’re expecting 90’s again. Sigh. Here in northern California, we’re beyond excited because there is a 70% chance of rain tomorrow during two hours mid-morning. We’re literally freaked and thrilled by this. Thrilled because we haven’t a DROP of rain in 4 months. No joke. Imagine the shock to this Georgia girl’s system! The lack of rain is normal for where we live during the summer. The extreme shifts in temperature are a bit new… that’s for another blog post!
I don’t know about the rest of you, but I have major Instagram envy. I follow a lot of incredibly talented people who just slay the decor game. They have wonderful taste and TONS of art pieces, cute signs, pillows, throws, etc. (my first thought is “where do they store all this stuff?”). I really enjoy keeping up with them, as the ideas are always flowing!
No matter how inspired I am by all the artists on Instagram, in my quest to get rid of SO MUCH STUFF, I’m taking a more minimalist approach. Here are a few things I have on hand that work in the “theme” of autumn:

I am really happy to start autumn. As much as I love summer (it’s soooo good!), I don’t mind when the weather starts to shift and the leaves change their colors. We have lots of beautiful scenes to look forward to!
I hope that wherever you are, you are getting in the spirit of the season. I love that there is more time to read, stay in my cozies a little longer each morning, and feeling a crispness to the air (especially if the air conditioning is on because it’s 100 degrees!). Hoping that your week is wonderful and your days are filled with pumpkin lattes!
Thursday, on the blog… you’ll have to wait and see! Until then…Cheers, my friends!
I’ll have to bypass the fall decorations this year and go right to Christmas. Enjoyed seeing yours!
